Pro Musica String Trio, with Benjamin Frith, piano,
at The Swan, Streatley-on-Thames

24th to 26th October 2008

Pro Musica String Trio

Robert Heard and Richard Jenkinson worked together for several years in the front desks of the City Of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, when together with Louise Williams they were asked by Benjamin Frith to become part of the Frith Piano Quartet – a union that has gone from strength to strength.

After a while they realised that there were many programmes that would amalgamate both the string Trio repertoire and also the repertoire for various duos. Equally they have all performed extensively many of the solo pieces written for their instrument.

Their various programmes include works from the classical period, while they also have a great joy in playing the music of the early 20th Century.

With this wealth of knowledge and expertise behind them, the trio work effortlessly together and their exciting concerts have been received with great pleasure at such venues as the Harlaxton Festival, Seaford Music Club, in Wolverhampton and the CBSO Centre in Birmingham amongst others.

For the Friday recital, Benjamin Frith joins the Trio to complete the Frith Piano Quartet.
