Gould Piano Trio

The Gould Piano Trio has established a reputation as one of the most stylish and versatile ensembles performing today. Highly regarded in the field of chamber music, they enjoy a career that takes them to major venues in the UK and overseas.

Chosen as British Rising Stars in the late 1990s, the Trio has since performed in such prestigious venues as New York's Carnegie Hall, Amsterdam Concertgebouw, the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels, Birmingham Symphony Hall and major halls in Paris, Cologne, Athens and Vienna. It gave one of the first chamber concerts at The Sage, Gateshead.

Frequent broadcasts have made the Trio a familiar ensemble to listeners of BBC Radio 3. Recent CD releases include the trios of Robert Fuchs, Brahms Trios and trios by Mendelssohn and Bax, works by Beethoven and Smetana, as well as a cover disc for the BBC Music Magazine.

The Gould Piano Trio has received many national and international awards including First Prize at the Charles Hennen Competition in Holland and joint First Prize in the inaugural Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition in Australia.
